Highly recommend this place. Tried the number 9 special, had the hamburger upgraded to a cheese burger at only an extra 80 cents. Most other places would charge at least 1.50-$2 just to do that. Then the cheese burger tasted amazing, better than a bk, mc Donalds or Wendys cheeseburger by miles. The fries were cooked well and the sausages were a nice quality. I will definitely be back for more and highly recommend this place.
Have been going to Blue Pacific for years.. theyre our go to fish n chip shop.. pretty consistent.. not the best but also not so bad.. weve probably been hundreds if not thousands of times over the years and theyve only messed up our order once! (Id say thats pretty good) Which they were pretty good about and sorted out ASAP!
FOOD = YUMMY !! great combos , their fish is always good and their fried donuts are a good treat .. However . CUSTOMER SERVICE = POOR AS!!! There is only one team member that lets this place down , and ruins one of papakuras best fish and chips shops and that is THE NEW SHORT HAIRED CRAZY VERBALLY ABUSING FEMALE WORKER. (Please note all other staff are nice) I went back just to order their thickshakes because the last one was amazing. The crazy lady was actually the person who made the amazing one go figure.. well this time around she pretty much gave me a cup full of unmixed milk , 1 squirt of flavouring and freezer burned ice cream. I watched her make it , then she ended up topping the flavourless thickshake up after mixing it with more then quarter cup of just plain milk!!! I was annoyed and tried it , knowing it would be a disappointment . So i politely asked if she could make me another one without topping it up and she literally looked at me shook her head and replied nah cant do that you drank it already too bad Instant reaction I asked again well its not what i ordered , I watched you fill it with JUST milk after you already had not much flavouring so can you just make me a new one she then got pissed off raised her voice and said just piss off i dont need to make a new one , thats how we make them all the time ahh yeah nah that didnt sit well with me so it turned into a huge verbal argument , so bad that the neighbouring shop owners come in and told her she needed to calm down and listen to her customer she was furious by then . Her manager came out mid argument and told her to calm down leave it alone and she would make me a new one and offered me a refund but the grumpy lady just carried on , even started arguing with her manager ! Moral of the story : customer service goes a long way , she only had to make a fresh one up to the standard they normally make them or just offer a refund if she didnt want to make it rather then abusing a paying customer. NUMEROUS CUSTOMERS have had arguments with her , sadly she still works there sooo if your having a feed here its best she just cooks it and doesnt serve you .
Best fried fish here, my regular and fav. Highly recommend. Nice staff too. Cant say much more than that. Though this stupid app is making me type extra words that are no needed.
This is a nice little takeaway store tucked away in Papakura. I haven’t been there for ages but I always remember i absolutely loved their potato fritters, hot dogs and hot chips
Over priced for the portion sizes you receive. You pay for a fish fillet and they cut the fillet in half length ways leaving you only receiving a half fillet. Sausage I was not impressed more like a breakfast sausage and the chips were just as unpleasant also. The name attracted me to this place thinking they would be fresh but far from that. Disappointing experience and I will not be returning
The only reason we got food from here was because our preferred options were closed for the holidays. The food was excessively oily, batter on the fish was sub-par, and they double-charged us for our chips despite telling them several times we only wanted $5 worth (there was no way we’d be able to consume $10 worth of chips!). At least they got rid of the poor, depressed looking goldfish from the small tank on the counter they never seemed to clean.
