Went here recently with my sister and Mum, just had a hot chocolate and they had coffees. My sister said her coffee was weak, the free mini date .scones provided were overcooked on the bottom, had that burnt look.Looking for cabinet food to eat prior to ordering, you had to wipe the glass from the outside because it had condensation.It’s alright for a hot chocolate, but would not have lunch here.

The potatoes/pumpkin weren’t cooked. The Lamb wasn’t properly cooked or kept heated properly.Will not come here again

I’ve zipped in here for a late lunch a few times. Cabinet food is decidedly average but the roasts (rolls, sandwiches, meals) are always fresh & tasty, gravy is lovely. Counter staff are always friendly & polite; Asian owners not rude, but unsmiling & brisk and always bossing staff around. Nice big caf with plenty of seating and parking, handy to shops.
The rating says it all…Meh. I’ve experienced better. Meat is nice and relatively fat free, potatoes are very salty and vegetables were undercooked, I don’t mind my peas a bit firm but firm is an understatement. Gravy is flavourless and you don’t get enough of it. We visited with my father in law, he ordered and got a small container of gravy then we proceeded to order and got 1 small container of gravy for 2 meals, when we asked for another we were told that 1 container would be plenty, with that reasoning, 1 container would be far too much for my father in laws 1 meal, right?? We left with no extra gravy, and no desire to return.
I’m a big fan. the roast is always lovely, never dry and very little fat. The potatoes are always tasty and make for a great snack on the way home from the station.
The staff were rude and demanding. The lady at the counter was grouchy and treated me like dirt. I was overcharged and when I asked for extra seasoning on my chips she went berserk. I was not impressed with the service, and the food looked like it had been there for days. Very Poor.
