Cafe Kai Ora has beautiful fresh and tasty Kai and the cafe is clean and tidy.. the fried bread is delicious I was very impressed.. totally recommend this cafe ..the service was awesome .. my husband had a chicken burger with fries and a strawberry supa shake my sister had fish burger with fries and a lime milkshake. the seafood chowder mussel fritter and boil up is only served from Thursday to Saturday. we will be going back on a Thursday to try out the chowder. Parking is available by countdown and it’s a short walk to the cafe.

I’ve been a couple of times, first time i had the smoked fish chowder with fried bread… beautiful fried yeast bread, nice and light and went well with the chowder. Now the chowder there was so much smoked fish it was delicious.. would definitely have this again. Last time i went i got a mac n cheese from their counter to take home, again it was great nice and cheesy but cooked with love. Prices very good actually a little too good, i would have paid more for the chowder happily… kia kaha Kai Ora..

Food was awesome:Homemade, fresh, tasty and wonderful presentation. Great variety and good serving sizes. Service was great: responsive and respectful. When we asked for ‘hot’ coffee, they listened. Clean and tidy. Friendly atmosphere. Compared to cafes in the area, Kai Ora is definitely up there with the best. Affordable prices. Plenty of parking. Enjoyed everything I have had here and today : fried bread, beef pot and apple pies. Thank you Kaia Ora
