  We ordered some chinese food:Chilli ChickenChicken Chowmein.Really poor dishes. Below average infact. The staff weren’t really great either. You could almost sense, that they dont want you to eat in their shop.The chowmein waa a bit alrite, but they should probably rename chilli chicken to sugar chicken in thick ketchuppy saucy cornstarch gravy…I have had my fair share of fiji-style chinese so I know the benchmark.

  Very similar to other peoples experiences. Went with a friend for a sit down dinner. Everything was fine. Made my order and paid for it and started to sit down at the table when the lady at the counter said i couldn’t sit and eat. I told her we had come for a sit down meal and she continued to insist that we couldn’t sit and eat. I then asked her why she hadn’t informed me when i made the order and she had no response to this claiming there was a sign outside i should have read- i was very disappointed at her aggressive nature including another girl and an older woman from the looks of it- mum and daughters- came out and started to verbally attack me. I decided i wasn’t eating there and asked for my money back – they refused to give me my money back and out comes the chef and the owner of the shop all guns firing – insisting there is no way i can get a refund of my order- i told him his daughter hadn’t told us we couldn’t sit and eat otherwise we would have easily gone to any other restaurant. The owner looked towards his daughter when i said this – knowing it was their fault and yet refused to refund me – continuing to verbally argue. In the end i got so frustrated i left my friend to deal with the owner as he was basically harassing and intimidating me in front of other customers who were there. Agree with other peoples review here about the rude service by the girls and the chef/owner of the restaurant. I will be very surprised if this restaurant lasts long- as they have no respect for customers.

  food was cheap and delicious. Service was quick and they accommodated to the changes that we wanted to make to our dishes. The chef was kind enough to explain what the dish would be like. The Pakora was a little oily so you can’t have much of it but still tasty. The coconut & taro steamed sweet was right on point. The quantity was very generous as well. They were pretty busy but we did not have to wait too long to ber served.

  I really wish I had negative stars to give to this shop. OMG such a bad mouth lady is answering there calls. I called to order some things for the very first time, and the way she talk is like shit. I am shocked. I was told not to call when she’s busy cooking and making sweets. First of all how the heck will I know what you are doing the other side. If you are busy than y answer the phone at the first place. I asked her why she was talking to me so rudely and she said she is busy. I said she had no customer service and no manners to talk. I said you will lose customers this way. She told me it doesn’t matter if you go away someone else will come. OMG such a blunt lady. Looking at the below comments I can see that I am not the first one.

  We came looking for some bhajiya and bara. They looked good and so we took quite a decent number for takeaway. But they were cold and super super oily. Even after draining the oil with tissues, the oil was still dripping. The jalebis had so much food colour added that we couldn’t even eat one full jalebi. Highly disappointed.

  we were in papatoetoe doing some shopping, no wonder BABU SWEETS AND TAKEAWAYS HAVE BAD REVIEW, my mum wanted some jalebi so i went and got some jalebi and also few other items, they say that you should always have a smile when you have customers walk in, but this lady the owners daughter, no smile, i had repeated myself 3 times for my order, and when we left 1 item was missing, so i called up, she was so bloody rude on the phone and hung up, and not just her, but her mum when i called back again, she said I will give you 1 free, WHAT THE HELL, i paid you for what i ordered and not looking for free food, better standard restaurants i dine all the time, just because i had parked outside your shop and mum wanted jalebi is the only reason i came to the low standard shop, pathetic, and low minded, would never recommend anyone, bloody useless
