Service is a bit slow and food is quite blend. Loved the lamb keema but everything else lacked flavour. Sorry guys I am Fiji Indian and our curries are very flavourful with raw ingredients such as fresh garlic and ginger, not the store bought jars, I just can not get myself to like any curries from at any indian resturant that serves butter chicken. They all taste the same, either too blend or too tangy.
The ‘paradise of sandringham’ in papatoetoe they said? They said wrong. No where as near as paradise quality. I bought lamb rogan josh from here when they initially opened. 1/10. The lamb was tough, and the gravy was watery.I have since had biryani, and lamb again. The lamb was an improvement, but nt near as good as it should. The Biryani was alright, not spectacular at all.Complete hit and miss with the food. The business might be fairing better financially than the food. I assume that was the main intention when starting this restaurant.
We had their Mutton Biriyani and it was amazing!! The gave a lot of meat (big succulent pieces) for the amount of rice. Im definitely going back there! We also had their Butter Chicken which was very good – it wasnt sickly sweet as many other places serves it. Looking forward to trying their Lamb Madras & Vindaloo next
