Came here for my graduation lunch and couldnt have been looked after any better!!! We had a beautiful table, the service was impeccable and the staff were so accommodating and really went the extra mile to make my day special! We did the 3 course express menu and the food was just top notch especially the whitebait omelette, the Hapuka and the Eton mess for dessert! They even wrote congratulations on my dessert plate which was nice! Definitely will be back and couldnt recommend more highly to anyone!
Outstanding and probably one of the best meals we have had anywhere. Oyster where 10/10 – white bait fritters, scollops 11/10. Kumura and salad amazing as sides and finished off with caramel pavlova which I should not have had but was so goodOverall service was excellent, food magnificent and given we have great restaurants in Melbourne I would rate Cibu in top 3 I have eaten at for the last 5 years. Not a fan of writing review but got some spare time today so yeah, we went to this cool and lovely place a couple of days ago, very impressed when entering the restaurant, black interior but with pink wallpaper to light this whole place up. The foods were absolutely stunning , I like the duck, beef fillet a lot, the texture is kind of rich rather than tender, I guess it is sous vide style, we also had 2 starters not outstanding but I enjoyed them, the dessert is Turkish parvalova? Its great. Only a minus is the guy served us was a little bit pushing when we were ordering, he was trying to be efficient rather than friendly. It was a nice meal in general.
Cibo has become a family favourite because the food is great and the service is even better. The staff make you feel like an old friend coming over for dinner but arent overly intrusive. Can vouch for everything on their menu (except the venison tartare because that shit is nasty fullstop). Everything the chefs touch is magic. The dining experience here is worth every cent (and it ends up being a lot of cents so make it worth it and gram the whole thing so everyone knows youre cultured because you eat crab at Cibo)
Went there for corporate lunch. Haven’t been for many years. Staff very friendly. Food was tasty. Had a crab starter and the steak with softshell crab. Recommend.
Definitely better to go earlier rather than later. The staff were very friendly and also attentive.The food was great. I had the rib eye fillet which was cooked well but unfortunately the steak knife that I was given was below average. The frypan brownie was to die for with the crispy outside with the soft gooey inside -a great ending to the meal. Would definitely come back
My husband and I had dinner at this romantic restaurant. Im glad he chose this place coz it was perfect for the occasion. The staff immediately greeted and welcomed us when we arrived. The table that was given to us was peaceful and sort of we have our own area. I must say that the service was excellent! And not to mention, the food was absolutely delightful. I enjoyed every bite. We had the duck parfait for appetiser and the special menu for that night, which was whitebait dish. For mains, we had rib-eye and duck pastilla. The combination of the ingredients was all perfect. We devoured the food in seconds. The turkish pavlova was so yummy as well. Overall we had a wonderful evening at Cibo. Excellent sevice and delicious food!
