Good ambiance and fast service and friendly staff. I seated in the conservatory space and the area was poured with great sunshine. Had the Eggs Benedict with salmon and avocado and iced mocha. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the avocado tasted fresh. The iced mocha was just ok.

Had several meals here… breakfasts and dinners. All good meals, staff are friendly and helpful and the surroundings are very pleasant. We’ll be back for sure.

Yes, this place is a great spot for a good old-fashioned restaurant-cafe lunch feed. I can’t think of the right way to define the menu, but it’s got all those old comfort classics on it like Seafood chowder and garlic bread (which is what I had – yum), Chicken leek pie, Beef lasagna, etc. The kind of dishes that one would have typically enjoyed on an NZ menu in the nineties. And this is not a bad thing at all! I think there is definitely a market for a good range of comfortable, easy choice items like these (ie, it’s not full of ‘ethnic’ fusion style dishes). The lunch space is in a very nicely attired cafe at the front of the central building. It’s cosy, it seems freshly refurbished, it’s designed to catch sun-rays in various pockets, and it’s good for a quiet meeting. My actual seafood chowder was creamy and very full of meaty chunks of fish and seafood. The butter-laden garlic bread was soft, white and melted in my mouth. It’s a very easy place to meet and park and talk.
