Um where do i start on this one.I called them up as i was really in the mood for chicken chow mein. I specifically asked them if they had the thin crispy noodles, as some places actually give you those really thick soft ones.Basically i got the thick soft ones after emphasizing the fact i only wanted the thin crispy ones. For $14 i was extremely disappointed, and will never be back again.
This used to be our go to restaurant for a quick, yummy and cheap meal.. Note that I said USED to be. I stopped by this evening on my way home from work, at first glance I noticed all the decor has changed and so had the menu the shop was also absolutely empty, usually it’s full.. By the looks of it the place is under new management. Anyway I decided to give it a go anyway, ordered something similar to what I’d usually get (steamed chicken and veges) which was $12. It was NOT steamed chicken it literally tasted like a cheap $5 frozen chow mein meal from Countdown, there was maybe 100g of chicken and 1/2 cup of veges.. The staff were lovely but unfortunately I will NOT be coming back here if this is how the restaurant is going to be run..
Noodles and Roast pretends to be nothing other than what it is. The food is good. Excellent for the price. A great place for a quick, cheap, and tasty bite to eat, but not an establishment to dine at.
Hands down the cheapest and yummiest fried chicken and sambal coconut dipping sauce – also their noodles are freshly made daily! Would highly recommend a cheap eat before watching an event at the ASB event centre on Quay street
I don’t know how I lived in Auckland so long without knowing about this place. Yummy Malay/Chinese style food. We had this really good crumbed deep fried chicken pieces dish that we ordered another one of ‘cos it tasted so good. Can’t wait to go back and eat more.
Me n my wife love to go that place. Food are fresh and very reasonable price. Their meal size is big enough to feed hungry bugger!
Eat here all the time. Designed as a takeaways but has some tables and seats. Caters for all the family. Nana loved the chicken roast (off the bone), kids love the herb and spicy chicken with honey soy sauce. For me it is the Malaysian Laksa. Good size portions – I have never left there hungry.
