Visited pepperjacks for breakfast with a group of 6. None of us were impressed with the food. Quite basic but also quite pricey for what you get. It’s a shame because the location is amazing
Nice location with a great view. Been to pepperJacks couple of times now great atmosphere and service. All though the food is okish bit overpriced. This place is deffs good for chill with few mates with a few beers as they have a good selection
Came here for my birthday breakfast and was extremely disappointed. Such a shame as the view is lovely, this place is a missed opportunity. All the cutlery and cups and plates were dirty, I was wiping them with a napkin while the waitress was serving us and she didn’t say she will get me new cups or cutlery. Each fork and knife was different from the other. Small breakfast menu, but breakfast came quickly. I ordered the hot cakes and my dad and brother ordered the big breakfast. We finally found out why the breakfast was quick to come: everything was from a can or jar or a plastic package, nothing was made from scratch except the fried eggs. The hot cakes were ready cooked supermarket ones, the compote was from a can, the hash browns were from a freezer pack, and the creamy mushrooms from a can. I could’ve made a better breakfast at home for cheaper. When we got our tea, there was no sugar anywhere, my dad had to go up to the counter to get some, and the person behind the counter was giving him sugar packages one by one, and my dad kept asking for more! Overall a disappointing meal and setting, the place is run down and even the chair cushions were dirty. Not sure what the chef did except heat things up and put them on a dirty plate. Forgot to take photos of the meals and dirty stuff but got a photo of a dirty milk jug.
Lots of empty tables on a sunny Sunday afternoon at around 1pm which were advised to be all reserved by the girl at the bar next to the main entrance. We dont mind being told there’s no table available with alternatives nearby and we didnt reserve in advance anyway. However we would feel much better if she would present it with a smile.p.s We seated at the jap place opposite and observed lots of empty tables from 1-3pm (outdoor areas)
great place for a pleasant bite to eat. staff were always polite and ready to assist, especially managers (if it is the older indian? man), nothing is ever too hard. food is delicious – never short of options, great atmosphere!
Went here with a group of friends and asked for a strong hot coffee. My coffee was weak so I asked the wait person to give me another shot. She was very obliging and immediately added another shot without charge. I was very impressed with her attitude.
We have been to Pepperjacks three times in the past year and each time we have been progressively more disappointed. The service is unfriendly at best, off hand and flippant at worst. There were 6 of us dining and our meals were average. One particular mention was the Thai chicken salad which had the tiniest serve of warm, old salad although a generous serve of chicken. There was no coriander as stated in the menu. On our first visit we mentioned to the owners that the service was disappointing, second visit we did so again. Third visit we didnt bother however it was certainly our last visit. Such a shame as its a beautiful setting.
