This is my favorite Beachlands restaurant whenever I’m out of Auckland, but yesterday wasn’t their best. I always order their mussels on tomato sauce with two garlic breads on the side, but instead I was given a different mussels recipe with a tiny bread. Same price as the other one but the taste was not as good. Service was really late and their servings were not as big as before. The waitresses need to smile a bit more. The experience is a bit of a let down so not sure if the next trip will be worth the distance and time.
Appalling attitude of staff.Arrived at 2.30pm on a Monday for an afternoon coffee as we were visiting friends in the area. The place was extremely quiet. We were greeted not with a friendly hello – rather an abrupt no coffee. (However the sign out the front was advertising coffee and said it was open)The waitress Michelle was very rude in how she said this. Not letting us know what else was on offer. We felt very unwelcome. After some deliberation, we decided to stay for ice cream, which still seemed like too much hassle for the waitress to get for us. All in all, very disappointing and we wont be back.
