Sidart serves progressive Indian flavours with contemporary cooking techniques. We have been here twice and we always have a fantastic experience. The degustations menu was really good. The course was flavorful and very well executed. The pork belly was definitely my favorite. If you want to impress someone or want to celebrate special occasion, Sidart is definitely the place to go.
We came to Sidart for Friday lunch and had the 6-course vegetarian tasting menu. It was my first time trying Indian fusion fine-dining and it was easily one of the the most impressive meals Ive had in Auckland. The service was fantastic, the food was innovative and delicious, and the presentation of each dish was impecable. Ive often found the vegetarian dishes at fine-dining restaurants lacking in flavour but this was not the case at Sidart. I really enjoyed the Indian flavours that Sid brilliantly infuses into local Kiwi ingredients, it was truly a unique dining experience.
This place is amaaaazzzzzzinnngg. Every dish felt like flavours just exploded in my mouth. To start we ordered the discovery tour and every bit of it is a discovery into parts of my palette I didnt know I had. To start, the Bulbasaur looking wrap was so amazingly refreshing and slightly peppery 10/10. The tart with shavings on it 20/10. Spinach cigar (I dont like spinach but omg) still a 9/10 9 for the cute way it was presented. All the rest an amazing 15/10 I dont even know if India has a jungle but dish 5 tasted like Sidart took me to the pacific sea and the rainforest jungle altogether 20/10
Nice location, perfect food and friendly service. Real fine dining with most creative chef. You can enjoy everything here when you eating and drinking. It’s a luxury enjoyment.
