Always great fish & chips or Chinese from here, have been coming here for years. Staff are friendly, food is always ready quick. Their burgers & seafood are always great. Definitely worth a visit.
This place had a D rating a couple of months ago so avoided eating here. Recently they got upgraded to a B grade so thought i’d give it a go. I actually couldn’t remember what they offered so came on here to get a look at the menu which was limiting, so decided to call and ask what else was available. We ended up getting: A hotdog, springroll, 1 lot of chips, works burger and an american hotdog. The chips was a small portion, for one person really. American Hotdog, tasted better than it looked, i’d eat it again. Hotdog:not enough sauce on it, was just a dash of sauce. My dad liked his springroll and the works burger. Although the rind was still on the bacon in the burger which he wasn’t so fond of.Overall:A good little place for a quick dinner. I would return, keen to try the chinese food on offer in future.
Ordered Chilli Chicken, Egg Fried Rice and Sweet and Sour Pork. Portions quite large and there was more than enough for two. In fact, we ate about half and saved the rest. Looking for something spicy, the chicken was quite hot so easily met the requirements. Egg fried rice pretty decent and plentiful and the sweet and sour pork was simple and met expectations.
As a little kid before moving to Te Atatu Peninsula in ’97 this was the last takeaways we visited in the area. This is by far the best takeaways in Ranui, wouldn’t mind go back down memory lane.
Loved the food and service. I ordered a chicken in Blackburn sauce on white rice. I got my order in 5 mins. Prices cheap at par with other chinese takeaways around the city. Gentlemen at the counter gave suggestions as well and was very polite. Basic decor, no dine, it’s simple takeaway.
Have ordered from the smorgasbord menu a few times. Had the standard fried rice, egg & sweet & sour pork. Nice guilty pleasure meal.Hubby not impressed however as he got a chicken curry, and they had obviously run out of potato And then replaced it with chips. Cold undercooked chips.
