I can’t work out why I’ve never been here before. It’s a lovely spot with the art Gallery to browse while you wait for your coffee. The service was friendly and I was very pleased to be offered Almond milk. We had lattes, one almond and one regular and a mint hot chocolate for our daughter. The coffee was a little bitter for my personal taste, but I know plenty of coffee lovers who prefer it that way. We were not offered water but found it easily available.I had a banana cake and my companions had a carrot cake and a beautiful red velvet cupcake. We were offered cream or yogurt with the cakes and as u can see in the pictures, All items were presented beautifully.
Our favourite local cafe. Why? Friendly attentive service, yummy food (especially our favourite cookies) and – of course – great coffee (including the best iced coffee anywhere!). You guys deserve to do well as you put so much into your business! Thank you

Lovely food, lovely coffee, service with a smile. How nice to be treated so attentively. I found the welcome I received delightfully refreshing. I was impressed by the service and charm of all the staff at Driftwood and with the care they gave to my companions (both human and canine). I highly recommend a visit and wish them continued success.
Lovely place with such a good vibe, delicious food and beautiful tea served tastefully. Their summer smoothies and iced teas are well worth a try! This will be my new pick me up whenever I’m in Orewa!

A perfect cafe in the most artistic location. After the visual delights of the Estuary Art centre in Orewa, we decided to indulge in some Flat white and sweet delights at the Driftwood Cafe. Much to my embarrassment, I could not pay for what we had ordered. My card did not work and I had no cash on me. I had taken two gentle senior ladies out for the afternoon and did not have the heart to disappoint them. The very kind lady of Driftwood cafe offered to email me the invoice with the bank account no, so that I could make the bank transfer later and not disappoint my companions. I was very touched by the kindness.The food arrived exquisitely displayed and everything tasted fresh and scrumptious. This is my personal tribute to the very kind lady who trusted me enough to let us enjoy the wonderful afternoon and saved me theembarrassment. This is one act of kindness that I will not forget in a very long time and I will be eternally grateful to her.Of course, I will tell everyone I know about Driftwood cafe and its wonderful food, service and delightful staff.Thank YOU.
