Drove from Auckland to here to try new food experience. The place was really pretty and sort of rustic. I had chicken pat and my husband got seafood chowder for entrees. Let me tell you, the pat was so good that I even asked for 3 more bread! The mains we got were lamb loin and my hubby got a full racked ribs. We both agreed that it was a bit of a let down from the amazing entrees we had. The ribs were a bit dry and the lamb was tough. To finish it off we shared a yummy creme brulee which seems to be the most popular dessert here. Overall, a great experience for a Saturday afternoon.

Definitely worth the money, the pasta is to die for, the creme brle is awesome, the venue is really nice too love the lighting and the customer service is great as well! All around a great place for dinner

Came here 17/12/17 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Staff were attentive and friendly, venue is clean and tidy and the outside seats with the river view were a bonus. The food is good value for money – chicken skewers with BIG chunks of chicken, spicy coating not too hot and oh so tasty. Fish of the day was gurnard – a decent portion on warm baby potatoes with a lovely tangy sauce. No leftovers on our plates !

I ordered just one rare cooked scotch fillet, an it took 65 minutes in getting it ready. Local was pretty empty. Instead of rare, it was almost well cooked. Perhaps, just a bad day in the kitchen. Cheers.

Weve been going to the bridge house for years, its a great environment for the whole family. The food is consistently good, the majority of the staff are great however there has been the odd newby who has been a disappointing experience.

Everyone else’s meals were very flavour filled, unfortunately minus my own. I ordered the smoked chicken pasta on a busy night which is generally when the food is at its high peak with presentation/taste wise and freshness, my dish lacked flavour the sauce was completely flavourless and tasted very plain virtually like the pasta on its own, the smoked chicken had a very minimal undertone of smoked flavour which was also tasteless, I had to add a lot of salt for the dish to be somewhat enjoyable, the presentation was very smart just the taste was a let down, the desert redeemed the main let down, the creme brle was presented with a gluggy passion fruit sauce around the outside which thankfully was around the outside because not everyone likes passion fruit especially when it’s not fresh and is out of a bottle, with biscuit crumbs cream and ice-cream which were both generous helpings, the creme brle cracked perfectly on top with a tap of my spoon which is the test of a perfect brle, buttery and smooth on the inside and was very well executed. Staff on the other hand ignored table and eye contact multiple times and seemed to be avoiding any form of serving a few times. Everyone seems to be running behind the bar to look like they are busy also had to repeat a drink order four times before the correct drinks were provided. At least the dessert was nice.

The only restaurant in Warkworth we had visited more than twice. The ambience is wonderful. The chicken satay doesnt suit my taste. The steak is okay, would fall for a mediocre level. The salad dressing is okay. The ribs are great, the serving is big considering the price, always good news. The taste of the ribs is probably a typical chinese sticky ribs.
