Okay so here’s the deal… I think the food is pretty good and you don’t have to wait too long, but in the shop it seems pretty unhygienic. The tables are dirty with crumbs all over the place and everything just looks and feels dirty in general. (I dont think the workers even wash their hands or wear gloves). They’ve also got my simple order wrong quite a few times before, which is ok but I was only ordering one thing so it’s not hard to mess that up. I haven’t been back since I’ve noticed how dirty it actually is.. so overall I recommend that you do not come here.

You would do well to avoid this place. No one preparing food wears gloves, the place is often dirty and last night it was frankly terrible. Revolting.It seems they are averse to changing the oil they cook their food in… how unfortunate for all the customers.As for value for money – the chips portions are extremely measly quite terrible how little you get for your money. I will not ever return. Council has been advised and so has the health department.
Absolutely disgusted at the service at Fay’s Place. Went to shout my friends family dinner here and rung in with our order. Went down, picked it up and took it back to friends place. Half the order was missing and $4 of chips was a measly handful at best. My friend rung up to explain some was missing and we were told to come down in 10 mins to pick the rest up. When I got back down there the owner came out and argued and yelled at me loudly calling me a liar in front of other customers and only agreed to give us one spring roll from the missing order (but not the 2 hot dogs) I was in shock that someone could be so rude. We were not lying and we will certainly never be customers here again.
Fayes Place in Helensville – what can I say, bought snapper got hoki, chips were nice but will never forget the smell of my first bite of the fish. I’m a very keen recreational fisherman and it was not all dissimilar to day old pillies that had been in the sun.
