Out of the few cafes I have tried in Warkworth, this is definitely the front runner. Reasonable amount of ambience, friendly service and a good selection of cabinet and menu food, enough to satisfy even the most weary unqualified amateur diner travelling through this transit town on the way north, south or east… The smoked chicken filo stood out as particularly tasty. Possibly has a slightly tired feel to it, but always our go to for a quality coffee when we pass by 🙂
We also visited in 2012 our last trip up north and both times were great awesome choices great cabinet food also the coffee toi was fabulous I had the bacon egg omelet and buddies had big breakfast all very good.

Excellent coffee and very friendly staff. My favorite cafe in WW by about 500 percent. Organic milk, coconut sugar and quick service plus good quality home baking. Someone with taste runs this place who knows repeat customers make or break a business. Need to keep the tables cleared a bit quicker but that’s about the only complaint.
We had breakfast here today on our way home from Whangarei – what a fantastic cafe! The big breakfast and coffee were delicious, so much so that I had to have a second coffee, and the service was faultless. Our order arrived in good time too.The maitre’d was very friendly and efficient with both locals and out-of-town visitors alike and certainly made the breakfast a very pleasant experience.I highly recommend this cafe.
Had pancakes and tea. The Earl Grey tea was excellent. The pancakes with blueberry compote and yogurt, looked fantastic. But I’m thinking the pancakes were warmed in the microwave from frozen! The pancakes were warmish in parts and really cold in other bits. They were crusty, dry and awful. I won’t go back. How hard is it to make fresh pancakes!
Had lunch here on Friday. the atmosphere is good, the service leaves nothing to be desired, and the food is just fantastic. I had a beef caserole with rice which was absolutely devine. My colleague had a musroom filo dish that was also fabulous. Topped off with a very nice coffee, and all at reasonable prices.Highly recommended.
