My husband and I went to IMaxx last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. He had the Scotch and I had the Green Thai Curry. Both were fantastic! Our server was friendly, and efficient. On our way out the owner asked how everything was so that was a nice touch. Nice family business and we wish them the best of luck and hope they do a great business in Parakai. We will definitely visit again and we hope to try them for breakfast soon.

Quite disappointed with our meal. Ordered a 300 rump steak and it came out looking like 150g and a very poor cut. Probably only the size of my Palm. Was told it had shrunk because it was well done. Well done is right – it was burnt and I left early to go home to get the taste out of my mouth. The roast vegies were also burnt and over done and the salad had no dressing and ws just iceberg lettuce and 2 small bits of cucumber and 3 bits tomato and 2 slices of capsicum. bowl of chips was very nice. My partner ordered scotch fillae. Was very nice. Pity was it was on the specials menu but turns out that doesn’t mean it’s on special. It just means u can add chips to it if you’d like. Quite fast service but there was only us and one other couple there. Was also surprised that when I rang to make a reservation I got a recorded message saying that my call might be recorded for training purposes. The meals are very over priced for what they are, especially that it’s a low socioeconomic area.
We ate here before & loved the food & service. Tonight, we brought a 7 & 4 year old with for dinner. Although the food was delicious as before, the hour & a half wait for our meals, without an explanation or having the kids meals brought out was just too long. The kids were well behaved even when hungry. By the time the food came, they weren’t hungry any longer. Delicious adult mains vs waiting time 🙁
