Show service. Unfriendly staff. Waited 30 minutes for food and it didnt arrive. Left hungry. Staff wasnt apologetic about service either.
Visited for lunch today, in what is peak summer season. Was great to see a sign at the front door explaining about how busy they can get and possible wait times for food, the person who seated us also advised probably a 35-45 min wait for food (turned out to be an hour, but all good) the communication was appreciated, some places wouldnt bother. Food was great, both the pizza and pork belly steamed buns had great flavour. A great place to chill on a sunny afternoon.
So sorry guys it has taking me so long to do a review. Our family love, love this place. The food is always great and the setting is awesome. Once every 6 months we always come to visit in our holidays. Thanks for a wonderful place to drink and eat.
I was a little disappointed. Firstly, the front of house was chaotic, we stood there for quite a while until we got told to go upstairs, were handed 2 menus (we were 5). The table was full of flies. Then first thing the waitress told us how many things were not available on the menu.I ordered a fish taco and was surprised as how little it was, a tiny bit of fish, a spoonful of salad and a tiny soft taco, no cheese, on a tiny plate, for $14.50?? I was finished with my meal before my fellow guests had even started and I tried to take my time. I did try the chips from my daughter, they were good, except for the cheap tomato sauce. Her burger bun was soggy. The two pizza breads were dry, and the other pizza was fine, but overpriced. It is a lovely venue with so much potential.

Well after a good time snorkeling we were on our way to return the gears and next to the driveway was this cafe. The ambience is very unique, raw and rustic we really enjoyed the ambience. The staff was really amazing and welcoming. It was 20min until they close their kitchen and all we could order is Pizzas. So on our menu was Ella Hart Pizza, Marguerita, Gratuitous and with some Kumra Potatoes fries as sides. And, Yes some chilled tap beers to cool us down. Apparently the beer was a bit fruity and did not go well. The food was really great and scrumptious. The only two things that annoyed me, First thing a staff member who was doing accounting was forcing us to pay even before we were done with the food! Second thing was the same lady overbilled us and when we asked her about the same she apologized and deducted it and added a surcharge on top of it as a part of their public holiday rules. Apart from that Thumbs Up for food, Thumbs Up for Ambience. It is definitely not easy on the pocket. But worth a visit.
Had a great lunch in the sun with friends. Big Ben pizza was delicious, eggs bene top notch and soup of the day was a hit with the ladies. Some nice beers on tap – 8 Wired, Liberty and a couple others. Though we were pretty confused at the absence of Leigh Sawmill beers!? Seems like the place is no longer owned by the same crowd… Very attentive staff which was good but got asked for orders, drinks, etc separately by 3 different staff which was fine but might annoy some people! Overall great lunch in a great setting but service seems to be finding its under new ownership.
