Today we tried the new summer menu. From entres to desserts everything was prepared with fresh ingredients, amazingly delicious and pure perfection. It was worth all the drive.I wouldn’t driving all this way for pure deliciousness.

This dish was well executed, the flavours all went very hand in hand and I thought the popcorn was a very creative touch which added to the presentation, the atmosphere is almost always busy on the weekends hence why I went during a week night with my family and wasn’t disappointed staff are lovely and food takes a bit to come out but it’s worth the wait!
The Stables restaurant, ive went on Wednesday for half price burger day. Pattie was well cooked and juicy comes with chips extremely affordable deal for good burger.
I had my 50th at the Stables and was impressed by the service and enthusiasm to make my night great. The location at the back of the restaurant which has now been converted into a bar was cosy, great to have a dance and chat to my friends and family. The food was also good, arriving on time. The following day we had breakfast. I had the fish and omelette which was tasty and fresh, the rest of the crowd had the normal bacon and eggs and could not fault their dishes. Coffee too was excellent.
Nice location. Kids love it. Food ok, however service sucks. Got seated then waited another 20 minutes before seeing a waiter. After they eventually made an appearance we made sure we ordered all our food. The waiter disappeared again only to appear again 100 minutes later – with food at least. Hopefully service will be better when we have to attend a upcoming wedding…
Dining for two on Easter Sunday, we could not book a taxi until 8 pm but luckily The Stables were able to squeeze us in. Our table wasn’t ready but we helped ourselves to the bar. The beers were a mix of the usual, such as Monteith’s and Tiger, and some craft beers. We were seated at our table before our glasses were emptied. We ordered a bottle of red Chocolate Box but were told we could only order by the glass because they were nearly out. As well as the usual menu, The Stables had an Easter menu which looked great – would have loved to have tried the seafood curry! We ordered snapper won tons, braised pork belly and lamb shoulder. We didn’t have to wait long for the won tons which were delicious with the soy sauce dip. If you don’t like garlic, you may not like these, otherwise they’re great! The pork belly was tender and tasty with crisp skin, served with fresh Waldorf salad and polenta chips. The Waldorf was nice but I found the chips too tasty and didn’t finish them for that reason. The lamb was moist and tasty and was served with a really nice selection of veges and pine nuts. The jus left me wanting more and stretched a bit thin towards the end of the meal. By this time, it was getting late and most customers had left, but the friendly staff asked if we were ready for dessert and waited on us while we sampled a couple of wines before settling on a pinot noir. For dessert, I really enjoyed the warm sticky toffee pudding served with vanilla ice cream. We finally left around 11. The staff were friendly, the service was fast, the food was great and the atmosphere was really nice. We only had one night to go out while in the area and I’m so glad we chose The Stables. Would definitely recommend.
