Love this place. The view is so beautiful. You can sit outdoor looking out at the golf course. I had coffee and chicken wings. Coffee is good. The chicken wings portion is big but not too tasty. Food is on the pricey side. Good service.
A great view! The handcut chips and cabinet pumpkin salad are nice. The decor is also great.They have cafe style cabinet food and a restaurant menu available, as well as a bar.Right now they also have a free dining discount you can sign up for that instantly gives you 10% off food and drinks for you and one other person.(Side note that winter opening hours are shorter than in summer).
This was my second visit to The View and I’ve been underwhelmed both times. Such a great spot with huge potential,however the food is just not up to scratch. Plus the service is average. I ordered a Caesar Salad with chicken for a healthy option and the chicken came out crumbed and potentially deep fried? Although it tasted very dry so may just have been reheated in an oven out of a packet? Everybody on our table had the same thoughts about their meals, they were okay but nothing great. I do hope The View can pick up their game and make this cafe/restaurant into a place you want to return to again and again. It certainly has a lot going for it.
Excellent food, service and venue! And child friendly too. I had market fish, kids had pizza, husband had burger. Everyone was happy. Lovely night out.
