We had a lovely time at the wharf street Bistro. I had the steak which was a generous size but maybe slightly closer to Medium then Medium rear. We had the best table in the house right in front of the open window looking out at the river. My wife had the pulled lamb which was delicious. We had my elderly Father in law with us (who paid for the meals, thank you Pierre) and he had no trouble hearing us, which has been a problem in louder restaurants. The staff were lovely and if anything tried too hard to be helpful. I will definitely go back. To make it perfect, check that the tide is in.

Been here many times and meals been great. Cocktails are a real hit & miss though. Went back last week and we didn’t enjoy the meals. The prawn & chorizo dish should be removed from the menu it was so bad

Been there for a friend’s birthday. Great atmosphere, staff was welcoming and caring. I ordered the steak and it was amazing. My friends loved the pulled lamb and the fish dish as well. Good choice of local beers and wine. Money wise, it was well worth it considering the quality of the dishes presented. Will definitely come back.

I love this place, the food is delicious and the ambience is always a warm and dimly lit romantic feel and the decor of this place is right up my alley. However it’s unfortunate how many pretentious people visit it, I mean come on…its Warkworth not the viaduct? So beware of that little town feel disappearing instantly on entry, I am not bothered by this but other guests I have dined with were a little bit taken back. One thing I do dislike is sitting so close to the other table if you’re dining with two people, I had to sit across from an awkward tinder date last night and could hear every single conversation they had, other than cringing through my first drink (not the drinks fault of course) when the three cheese souffl arrived which takes 15 minutes but is well worth the wait I could focus on something else and just talked louder so my partner could hear what I was saying, then we ordered a char grilled hollumi and broccoli salad I ordered a steak meal which were both beautifully done my steak was medium rare to the t! With an amazing mushroom sauce on top. For dessert we got the baked NYC cheesecake which had maple blueberries on top which was a perfect end to a very lovely meal. Staff are very accommodating and pleasant I will be back for sure.

Came here for an anniversary dinner.Perfect little secluded spot with a nice outlook over river with some old boats. The interior has a cosy atmosphere, with subtle throwbacks to the 70’s and 80’s. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We had the Beef Tacos, Beef Empanadas and the Cheese Souffl, followed by the Lamb and the Pork Belly. Everything was delicious, full of flavour, and was devoured rather quickly! The only thing I could fault was that the pork belly wasn’t as tender as a few other places I’ve been too. However, the Ju with this dish was extremely delicious. I was trying to mop up as much of it as I could. Will be coming here again soon to try more dishes off the menu. An absolute must if you’re in Warkworth and want to treat yourself to something special.

Popped in here on our way home from Mangawhai. We were greeted with big friendly smiles. Restaurant has a lovely warm vibe I always love dining with candle light. Food was equally delightful. We had beef tacos, delicious lamb salad and a well priced tasty Ozzy Shiraz. Great portions, super tasty food. Service was perfect. Lots of GF options. Would definitely return next time I’m passing through. Highly recommended.

Discovered this place by chance. Very impressed by the location, ambience, staff and last but not least the food!!! this place has a great ambience and is set in an idyllic location overlooking the boardwalk and jetty. The staff were all very professional and friendly. We treated like we were special and appreciated. Both my wife and I had meals that were divine. Yum Yum !!! Thanks to the Chef and kitchen staff. Having been in the industry we know how hard it is to deliver quality food on a healthy serving of customer service. Thank you for making our unexpected stop into a very delightful and thoroughly enjoyable afternoon/evening. We will be back for a romantic dinner for 2 very soon.Jess and Antionette ( 2 happy customers from the Bay of Islands)
