We decided to go for two regular bowls – one with chicken and salmon, the other with prawn and tuna. I opted for all the available ingredient options except for red onion and beetroot.I found every element to be fresh and flavourful, with my favourites being the seared prawn and the sweetness of the mango. Some complaints would be that the rice was a bit hard, thus indicating that it was not particularly fresh which would not be a shock as only one other customer came in during the one hour we spent in the store. Additionally, I feel like there was not enough sauce ( I chose the roasted sesame) distributed as I couldnt taste or see it at all after I had mixed everything.We both added on a miso soup for $1 each and it was delicious and comforting to pair with the cold bowl of poke.Service was very friendly, helpful and patient even thought we took a while to decide what we wanted.

I enjoyed the friendly casual service and fresh fish thats sustainably caught.We ordered a small Rambo chicken and a regular Blus signature. Fantastic range of garnishes and sauces to choose from. I was pleasantly surprised that the brown rice wasnt too dry although I wouldve liked the option of purple rice too. To top it all off, the chicken miso soup was not too salty and smelled amazing.Looking forward to coming back in future. Keep up the good work!
I love this place! Ingredients are so fresh. You can choose any combinations of fresh sashimi, salad vegetables, toppings and sauces and it would all taste amazing. Different textures and flavour profiles combine to create a party in your mouth. Complete the experience with their store brewed kombucha.
I love Blu Poke! I get a rice and salad base, their tuna and salmon, Sriracha mayo and the sesame sauce. It is the tastiest combo. Blu Poke keep it fresh, simple and healthy. The staff and owner are always friendly as well. Nothing I can really fault at all except I wish they were open for dinner too!!Blu Poke Shed is conveniently located a 2 minute walk from my work but it also means I end up buying a bowl every. single. day (despite packing my own lunch). If that doesn’t go to show how good Blu Poke is – I don’t know what does!!
Rate a Poke Bowl. The people working here are super nice! The Poke is delish too (especially spicy salmon) but so loyal to Poke Poke in Takapuna. Wish there were a few more options like crab, and purple rice. But still a go to when in Albany.
