Awesome little place. Great food and real good for value. Steamed buns here are a must, great service too. Definitely recommend for a takeaway!
I came here for lunch since I wanted something simple and cheap. I ordered the spring onion pancake and the shredded pork with egg on rice. The pancake was quite expensive considering it wasn’t very big.The pancake was crispy but was quite bland. The shredded pork was flavourful but there was a pool of oil at the bottom and the ratio of rice to meat and vegetables was very uneven. I was left with a lot of rice with no flavour but it still left me very full. The amount I ordered would have been enough to feed two people.Overall, I would come back to try some other things on the menu since some things are quite affordable.
Have been here for a late lunch with family, super busy around lunchtime! Service is quick and efficient – we had the tofu jelly, stirfry pancake and pork, Chinese donut, rolled pancake and millet congee. Serving sizes are decent – rolled pancake was yum but all the dishes are on the blander side in terms of taste. Stir fry pancake was very fragrant and tasted delicious. The tofu jelly had a very strong soy sauce taste to it, probably can do better especially with other options in the same complex area! Chinese donut is made fresh to order, definitely something to grab quickly if you’re in a rush! Haven’t had the steamed buns, so may return later to try.
First time snatching a quick brunch in goldfish kitchen turns out to be a very bad experience. Initially ordered one bun, tofu syrup and one pancake. Counter lady told us minimum order for pancake is two given they make it with fresh dou upon customer’s order. Does not make sense so we both got buns. Half a min later advised all buns sold out and recommend us to change to pancakes, we then did with payment of difference although not keen to. 20 sec later, we heard another customer bought few buns over counter from another lady and she literally said they just have a batch ready out of steamer drawer. I then approached the lady took our order who was washing dish by then and inquiring about availability of buns. She then clarified qith the other lady and kitchen then processed refund anyway.Then there came the owner’s blame towards the poor lady and denounciation over refund to customer conduct. He basically blasted along the lines that they never refund, and asserted no resturant ever do refund. Next time if customer ever ask for refund refer to him. And he was loud as he was yelling the house down, all customer in the premise can hear him. OMG how stingy he is. Cannot imagine people qith such stingy narrow mind can ever run a bisiness. Plus their buns are in small size and not tasty. Dou is not puffy maybe lack of yeast and texture is not soft. Would rather get supermarket buns and steam at home myself.
Okay, it’s not fresh made. Don’t like it, the porridge taste odd and old not good quality of rice to make porridge.The fillings of Naozi is way small compare to other Baozi .Not even compare to something u can buy from Chinese supermarket . But the dish is okay.
Cheap ,good for breakfast, a quick snack or chatting with friends. The main dishes are so so but good enough, good place to go for steamed buns.
