Such a good pub/restaurant feel! Relaxed and casual but with a menu that catered for everyone. We had dinner with another couple and between us we had a vegan, pescatarian and two meat eaters and all of us easily found multiple options! Staff were so helpful especially with substituting some items for vegan additions!
Nice location and lovely seating outside. Lots of tables! We walked past looking for somewhere to eat lunch and were handed menus. Menu is varied and offers small plates, larger plates and platters. We didnt go inside so can’t comment on the inside. We were brought water which was nice of them and studied the menu. We then waited…and waited for our orders to be taken. A good 20 minutes passed before our order was taken.Food arrived maybe 20 minutes later. I ordered the brisket to share with my friend and she ordered the pork belly. My brisket was nice but not what I would call brisket. More like thickly sliced roast beef in gravy. The kind you get in one of those frozen meals. Don’t get me wrong as the portion was a good size but I quickly got bored eating the brisket, preferring instead to mix it up with the chunks if chilli etc.My friend had the pork belly which was just too fatty for her.As an fyi, if eating outside you must set up a tab and surrender your credit card if you want to split the bill, otherwise they expect you to pre pay for your lunch. Was ok but not memorable.
Convenient and spacious spot at Albany mall.We ordered the Moroccan Roasted Chicken Pizza andCurly Fries. The pizza was good but nothing out of this world and there were only a few small pieces of chicken. The curly fries however were extraordinary, probably the best curly fries Ive ever had.Lively environment but it was a bit difficult to get the servers attention so we just ended up going up to the counter to order.
Really nice place, the place was a bit on the expensive side though for something like pub food but the food was pretty good it arrived fast and hot, but I’m not sure what the place is like when it’s busy though. Pub food but pub food with care, ordered a few small plates. We had the some small plates of squid, nice and crispy and salty with a really good sauce that taste like its wasabi/horseradish aoli in it, the pork belly had really good crackling with it , dumplings was just the right kind of spicy coz of the ginger and the soft shell crab was meaty and really nicely balanced out by what tastes like daikon. All in all pretty filling.
