Xiao Long Kan is a popular hotpot chain in china and I was surprised to find it also in New Zealand. The restaurant is new and well renovated with a water feature and authentic Chinese decor. The restaurant features your typical hotpot soup choices, however I found it super spicy even though we chose the lowest spice (one above mild). There are many hotpot meats, seafood and vegetables to choose from and I enjoyed my experience very much! The sauces are also self service so you can mix your own. The staff were less attentive but overall a pretty good experience.
