So hard to review things sometimes. Coffee is lovely. Service is nice. Limited seating and menu, and short hours, but this isn’t a cafe, so much as a snack bar. I don’t feel like I should compare it to a big sit down food place, because this place isn’t that, nor is it trying to be. I would recommend you come here if you want a healthy snack, not a cafe meal, because they don’t do that. Beautiful looking pies, but I’m vegan so I don’t know how they taste. They have the newspaper, some seats- pretty much what you want in a cafe within a shop. It is a little tedious to go to the main counter to pay.
If you didnt know this place was here, youd most likely miss it! Hidden away just after the Royal Oak roundabout, at first sight Huckleberrys is just a health food supermarket but nestled inside there is also a small caf. With only a small selection of warm and cold cabinet food there isnt a lot of options however they do have a good range of hot beverages, and smoothies. We ordered the Superfood smoothie and some falafel bites. The smoothie definitely tasted healthy and was full of good ingredients like acai, chia seeds and goji berries just to name a few. The falafel bites werent anything special but were a nice side snack. The lady that served us was also topping up stock in the store so seemed a little distracted at times trying to juggle both jobs but she was clued up on the smoothie menu.
