This place USED to be great and serve really good Chinese food, holding onto that, the past months when I have ordered from royal cuisine Ive been pretty disappointed. When placing orders theres usually staff that know little to no English, even after repeating the order several times, they take the payment and carry on. When it comes to getting the food its not exactly your order- e.g theyve missed details like spicy or the type of meat chosen. Obviously people dont think to check their order then and there so the disappointment ends at home- at that stage you just cant be bothered to drive back and make a fuss.

Ive been here a few times in the past in my search for great Chinese takeaway in the area and continue to be impressed by Royal Cuisine. Last night we had chicken fried rice, sweet and sour pork and vegetable egg foo yung. I wasnt a big fan of the vegetables that came with the egg foo yung (seemed like the standard frozen peas, corn and square carrot mix many of us remember from childhood) but otherwise it was good. The food was reasonably tasty and not greasy, and the servings were plentiful – we had loads left over

My favourite is the sweet and sour pork, combination noodles, spring rolls and pork fried rice. Delivery is fast, no problems and the quantities are very reasonable

Royal Cuisine serves not bad Chinese food, their fried wonton, squid are extremely greasy. However their prawn wonton soup is one of best one ever had, soup isnt salty which i love and stuff in wonton is super delicious. Chilli chicken on rice was just ok but service is good. Everyday they have specially priced menu.

Sweet and sour pork is yummy.. I love their friend rice too! Always get a prawn roll on the side.. Place is not the most inviting.. but the food makes up for it.

I will always rate this place 5!Ambience & atmosphere: 3/5 – It’s just what every suburb should have. Dine-in if you’d like to, it won’t be anything fancy but the food will be on a whole ‘nother level.Quality of service: 4/5- Good Quality of food: 5/5- The best damn Combination you will ever have in the entirety of Auckland. I’m yet to try any better.Price per person: $15-25

Food was so tasty and not oily. Ordered many dishes and they all had superb taste. Chicken with black beans sauce, bbq pork egg fu, won ton dishes. Sweet and sour pork was crispy and was meaty. But should be more pork though.Egg fu was cooked perfect with it not being dry but bbq pork was dry and tasteless. Not enough peas and corn and could be a bit thicker with egg maybe two more as it was spread out and wasn’t a lot…Won ton noodle soup was delicious; well the BBQ pork was very dry which was a let down , no taste and not a lot of it. Noodle they used was udon noodles which was strange… but the soup and won tons were fresh prawn and full pork not minced. Won ton dish really wasn’t the best. Sweet and sour great but definitely need more pork. Overall 3.5 , even though food came out fast and service was efficient but just won ton dish was strange. It was clean and tidy. I would go again as it was not oily like other Chinese places
