Dinner for 6 last night. Wasn’t busy, but there was a function up stairs. We went for pre dinner drinks, and booked a table for 7pm. Time came and there was no booking, strike 1, all good, plenty of tables,only 20 people in the restaurant, sat down and the waitress brought menus and drink menu and advised there was an hour wait for food…strike 2, we asked if there was any possibility of breads and dips whilst we waited , 1 hour wait for anything, strike 3, by this time it was pouring down outside so no possibility of moving, so we duly ordered. 45 minutes went by and our meals appeared, minus 1 of them, strike 4, waitress came back and advised another waiter/waitress had taken our meal in error, still part of strike 4, asked if there was anything she could do whilst we waited for the last meal, free glass of wine, duky taken, minus 1 strike. Food was actually OK, service was good. There is NO excuse for such a long wait, the function was long pre planned, so staff shortage is NO excuse, unlikely to return, the other reason for not going back, drinks are WAY TOO EXPENSIVE.
