Green ninja! Vegan cookies and brownies! Cookies and brownies!! Yummmay!! A healthy alternative to the usual greasy eats that I usually prefer. Super friendly staff, and seasonal dishes to suit the time of the year. And just when we thought we couldnt have cheese again…
Decided to check this place out, not sure what the 1 star review is all about as they made me a delicious breakfast jar upon request. Coffee was amazing, I ordered a standard flat white and it was made perfectly. Along with the breakfast jar I got a takeaway pumpkin nut cheese tart and I have to say it was super tasty and I couldn’t believe it was vegan! Overall the no grainer is an amazing little place tucked away in the Mt Albert ymca!!!
This place, tucked away in Rocket Park YMCA centre, is my best find of the year. My vegetarian sister told me about it, many great options for vegetarian and vegan people. The food is excellent and well priced. I highly recommend the nut cheez tarts, the salads and the kumara tortilla. Delicious, fresh healthy food. What a fabulous place – I just wish it was open Sundays too
Great place for delicious and healthy snacks treats and coffee! If your taking a break from coffee or like me caffeine sensitive the turmeric latte is so good, a natural pick you up and bonus… detoxifying. Love this spot!
This paleo cafe is housed at the Mt Albert Community Centre just walk through the front doors and you’ll can’t miss it. Their mini-fridges housed Dr Feelgood iceblocks (awww yeah), as well as frozen gluten-free pies for you to take home. Seating was sparse, so we took to the benches outside, admiring the community garden with a plastic-bottle showering system and herb patches (bit chilly, though). Three of us ordered their smoothies they’d pressed the nut milks themselves apparently, but the flavours seemed a bit lost in translation. We weren’t sure if it was because of the mouth-watering posts on Facebook had led our expectations astray, but something seemed to be amiss in our experience there. Perhaps we were too late and missed the best of the cabinet offerings after the lunch craze? Hard to know.Check out our individual comments here: husk.co.nz/lunches/the-no-grainer-april-2016
Thought we would pop by here to try one of the breakfast jars one Saturday morning walk. However we were let down by the fact they didn’t actually have any even though they advertise them. Grabbed a coffee to go but to be honest was pretty bad too. The cakes in the cabinet looked good but wasn’t keen on cake for breakfast.
