Second time at Fact Tree. Very busy small cafe at Sunnynook. Enjoyed their steak sandwich. Last time tried their big breakfast. The portion was huge and tasted nice as well.
We went there for early lunch on a Monday and the place was crowded , very popular and most of the patrons are regular I think, the good is distinctive and bit different from usual cafe dishes . Service is friendly and will definitely return
Its a very busy cafe, maybe because its the only one in the area? Service could be faster & better. We had high hopes but the food was average. The bacon benedict lacked flavour & the hashies werent consistently cooked through. The salad lacked seasoning & sauce.
Have been to fact-tree a couple times and I think its a pretty good cafe considering there isn’t many in the area and I can easily see it being a popular cafe in Takapuna or central. I’ve ordered the chicken salad before which was good and this time I came I got the avo smash with bacon but ordered it without egg. The wait was a little long but they were fairly busy so all good. However when the avo smash was on the counter I could see an egg on it and I saw the waitress say something to the chef and noticed he took the egg off, which in my opinion isn’t right as I could have had an egg allergy. Definitely recommend if you are in the area 🙂
This is such a cute little cafe with really friendly staff. We felt welcome the second we walked in. The food and drinks came out really quickly too.All of the food was presented really well and added to the vibe. We both got eggs benedict and it was really nice. I just felt like the eggs Benedict was lacking something but I’m not sure what it was. The potato roasti was super nice though! However I saw someone order pancakes and I really want to go back and try those soon because they looked AMAZING!
Nice cafeteria in the suburb of Sunnynook. The place was extremely busy the day we went but it didnt take too long for the food to be served. Also has a lively vibe. The food are greatly portioned as they add lots of salad to the plates. The steak was tender and juicy. The prawn and squid were nice and crispy. I loved the freshly fried kumara and potato slices, however would be nice if they drained out all the chips oil before adding onto the salads.Flat white was good. And loved the ice mocha frappes!Food: 8/10Food presentation: 8/10Service: 7/10Location: 7/10Ambience: 7/10Price $25 per person
Been wanting to come here for a while based on reviews. Place was packed. It was first week of the school holidays. The food was actually quite good. Had Thai beef salad and poached eggs on toast. However the staff seem overwhelmed by the rush. Coffees and food took a really long time. I’d come back for the food. But service was really not good.
