$4.20 for a short black? There’s no denying that the short black / espresso I had tasted good and none of the sour taste that you get from most cafes. If the short black was $3.50 (which I still think is overpriced for black coffee) I would have given a 5 star rating, but at $4.20 for a short black I won’t be going back – I don’t like supporting this kind of over pricing. To highlight how bizarre the $4.20 is for a short black is, a piccolo coffee, which contains milk (an additional material) and the additional labour to steam the milk, is $4.20 as well… Consistent / logical pricing?Their cabinet food looked great and I have eaten there many years ago and can confirm it was quality food.
Fantastic food. I have to have my breakfast here everyday before i start work. It makes my day. I love it here so much. Great food. Allpress coffee made to perfection. Thank u William Souter Team
I drive past this place this place every day on my way too and from work and have never gone in….well that was a mistake!!I popped in this morning with my son (school hols) and ordered the hotcakes for me which came with rubabarb, a lemon cream and pistachio nuts with a very generous amount of maple syrup. It was really good, totally spot on and a random combination which worked (and i will steal for use at home)My son grabbed the kids hotcakes which was also great, good portion sized too. This came with bananas and again a really good amount of maple syrup!Coffee was allpress, nice and hot and arrived quick.Really good service, happy staff , I will be going back in there for sure
This is a local for us, so regret we didn’t find it sooner. We have been many times over the last few months and we have recommended it to many. Forget the trendy venues in Taka where they trade on the venue, WSE delivers consistently on meals, take out food (omg the salted caramel peanut slice and the pies) Allpress coffee and they do it well. It’s out of the way but never been there when it hasn’t been busy. Good service and the chef sometimes checks in to ensure you have enjoyed the food…passion…priceless!
Tried this place for the first time as it’s in quite a hidden spot in a residential area. Wish I’d found it sooner! I had hotcakes which were perfection. Lovely, luscious poached fruits, ricotta, pistachios, she’ll all atop fluffy hotcakes. Heaps of vegetarian options which I’m always on the lookout for, but with the option to add non-veg sides. Delicious coffee too. Nice vibe here, busy but a variety of seating for small or big groups.
Great coffee, great food and great service! I go there way too many times in a week, but the food is awesome – Matt makes the best pies ever!
Just popped in for a late lunch after a friend recommended this great little cafe. Excellent selection of food. Had a delicious chicken wrap with corn salsa, coffee and a spicy chai latte but will definitely be back with some friends to try out the delicious sounding blackboard menu very soon. Brilliant music, service and friendly staff.
