I really enjoyed the ambience of this place. Especially the entrance way which has beautiful lamps and items for sale. The service was good. However, there are a few small things the waitresses could have done to make it great service. Firstly, the waiter gave us a table with two menus but there were three of us. Secondly, the waiter apologised after realising we didn’t have any cutlery to begin our entree. Thirdly, our water bottle was never replaced despite it being empty for the majority of the time. Although these are very minor things, they do make a difference to the overall dining experience. In terms of food, the menu is very reasonably priced. I thought the portions were of a good size. We enjoyed the dips which came with Turkish bread. There wasn’t anything that stood out flavour-wise in terms of our mains, and the Blacksea Chicken wasn’t exactly pleasing to the eye. The kebab and Turkish pizza was tasty and there was a generous amount of meat. However, there wasn’t too much of a difference between these dishes and any usual Turkish kebab takeaway. Whether this is a good or bad thing can be left up to you. All in all, it was a good dining experience with nice food but nothing overly amazing. Given the amount of offerings in the area, unless it’s for a gift idea, I probably won’t be coming back.Ambience 4/5Service 3.5/5Food 3.5/5Overall 3.5/5
Very nice have to try this place you will not regret the taste is amazing. Tidy restaurant and polite welcoming staff. Wait time was not that bad 10mins
The meal was ok, nothing to rave about but nothing to complain aboutI had the moussaka it was basically a cottage pie, mince with frozen veg in it (cant believe a restaurant would actually use frozen vegetables) I could make this myself.Totally overpriced for what it was My husband enjoyed the lamb The baklava was definitely not the best I have had but again it was ok
My family and I have been several times and have always been very pleased with both the food and the overall experience. We went more recently and noticed they changed the menu to feature more Mediterranean dishes, I ordered eye filet which was cooked perfectly, my wife had the prawn ravioli, and my son had the chicken with tomato sauce. We were all very pleased with the meal, the portions were more than generous and the service was very friendly. Overall, would recommend, and will definitely come back for more.
I ordered a Black Sea Chicken and it was fantastic. The atmosphere was hella tight, I especially enjoyed the customer service. The waitress was nice to me and my friends, she was also very attentive. The food was delivered in a timely fashion. The only thing I can say that I didn’t enjoy was that the menu was a little too extensive and it was hard to make a decision. Basically, this place is dope (and the shisa is pretty good too).
We’ve been coming here for a couple of years – and love it. They’ve recently changed their theme and menu to more Mediterranean food, including pastas – so for those thinking just Turkish – it has now changed and really there’s something for everyone. We’ve tried a couple of the pastas and have been really impressed. We still love their originals of Black Sea Chicken and Islim Kebabi. For dessert our favourites are delicious cheese cake, baklava and tiramisu.
This place is great if a little quiet. They have a belly dancer most nights which livens things up. The baclava and halumi are our favourites. The shisa is great out front especially with the gas heaters on. Flavours are limited so call in advance to check and get the coals heated up
