Well….this place is amazing. When you step in, it feels you entered one of those fabulous warm pubs in cartoon jungles….I loved it. I didn’t drink, as I needed full attention that day, but the wedges I ordered….were marvellous. Honestly, the best wedge I have had in Takapuna. The dishes are big and could be shared. Waiters are quick and polite. And the menu has almost anything you would like to have. I’ll definitely go there again. The only bad thing was the smell of smoking coming inside. The door was open and the wind carried the smell in. It wasn’t bad for me. But my friend was unhappy with it.
The fish pie from here is insanely good! Equally so is the pint of Guinness!I went on a Sunday afternoon and there was a group of instrumentalists in the far corner playing some quality irish music which was a very pleasant background setting.
Yeah, nice spot. My wife and I are out of town for a few days, sick of takeaways. We were wanting something simple, inexpensive and not wanting to feel we needed to get gussied up. This fit the bill nicely. Good food, friendly staff smallish but not lacking in atmosphere. Left happy and appreciative.
Came here for dinner on Tuesday night. The food was very good, and the Guinness tasted perfect. The best part was the live music they had. A real traditional Irish jam session every Tuesday night. The folk were merry, and the music was brilliant. I didn’t want to leave 🙂
Made a stop past there yesterday morning service was top notch, my wife and I shared the nachos, Portions were amazing but the mince topping could have been a bit better. I will definitely go back!
We went for my mother’s birthday dinner and it was a lovely experience. The staff were super friendly and very attentive, even though it was quite busy. Within, two minutes of sitting down they had given us menus and they checked in on us frequently to see if we needed anything. We felt very welcome there. The meals were all delicious and they were huge. I was actually surprised at the size of the meals. It was great value for money. My family and I are definitely planning to return here soon. Thank you for the wonderful service.
These guys have an amazing chicken filo! Its huge and so delicious!Onion rings and snitzel choices rock! Though they are so big I still have never been able to finish one so its great to take home and eat for lunch the next day =DGreat prices and an awesome place for a good honest pub dinner.Yey for one of my locals!
