Honey Cafe is damn good man. Been here so many times and never been disappointed. Recently been here twice and both times gotten an iced mocha with my meal. I mean the iced mocha ain’t bad but it’s more like an iced chocolate because you can’t really taste the coffee. I ordered the Granola which was super tasty and enjoyable, I loved it! When I went this weekend I came with my family and cousins and I got the Pancakes which were defiently the best pancakes I’ve ever gotten. Our meals all came out relatively fast and all at the same time. I love love love this cafe all the meals are super photo worthy and tasty! for sure one of my favourite cafe’s to go to :))) make sure to book a table as it’s always pretty busy. x
Went here on Sunday for brunch with my friend, it’s a really cute cafe with lots of seating and a nice warm feel.We made a reservation as we weren’t sure how busy it would be, was a couple minutes late and when we arrived the guy behind the till was like oh your table is over there and just waved us to an empty table with a reserved sign. We then had to wait a bit for menus and water which was weird as plenty of staff were around. Again had to wait a bit for our order to be taken and then no one was around for more water etc either we had to get up and ask for more.Coffee was average, I had a long black and it was under extracted and wasnt very nice. Food was pretty good though. I got the French toast without ice cream and my friend got the pancakes.Probably wouldnt come back unless someone really wanted to try it as there are a lot better places in takapuna with WAY better service.
Honey cafe has the prettiest food! Have ordered the chicken salad a few times and the last time I went I got the avo on toast which is my new favourite. I recently came with some friends and got the granola as- well and that was so good. Have also had a couple of the smoothies which have been pretty good. The actual cafe is adorable and the decor is so sweet. There is seating available inside and outside. It does get super busy and is sometimes a little tricky to get a table especially around lunchtime but that just shows how good it is. a fave of mine and will continue to go back!
Food: 5/5Service: 5/5Ambience: 5/5Cost: 4.5/5 Arrived here for a Saturday brunch with a group of friends. We ordered the Bacon Omelette, Smoked Salmon and Cured Salmon Eggs Benny and Acai Bowl. Food came out promptly. Every dish looked very appealing and taste as good as it looks! I loved the ambience. We were seated outside and had a nice breeze and view looking out onto the road. Great place for a brunch catch up with friends and family. Cant wait to be back to try all their other menu.
Really nice environment here- it is so open and bright! I really love coming here to eat because of this and it feels welcoming. The food is great! I enjoy the acai bowl and the vanilla pancakes (great for those with a sweet tooth) and the coffee is good quality also 🙂 The staff are very friendly and approachable and the service is speedy.
We had the pea fritters, eggs on sourdough and eggs benedicts. Loved all the food. Eggs benedicts came with potato croquettes which were crunchy on the outside and soft garlicky on the inside, perfect poached eggs, love the beetroot smear on the side, nice and smooth and sweet.. pea fritters were so good, loads of peas, nicely mixed with haloumi. Definitely worth going back to anytime in Takapuna. The only thing that could be improved is the distance of th is cafe to our house. Great job guys, truly deserving 5 stars. Happy vegetarians all around
