The service is good, however, the coffee is too hot to drink… this my second times to here, the first time always impressive. Maybe I will come again, but who knows.
Me and my partner love to come here all the time for breakfast or brunch, we think their eggs beny is amazing and is pretty cheap, you can also get bowl coffee and hot chocolate 🙂
Went here this morning with two friends. We arrived at 11:30 am, it didn’t look very busy but considering how long it took to get our drinks and food it must have been …The coffee was good, and the atmosphere in the courtyard was lovely. It’s just a shame that the service and food let it down so much. It took around an hour for our food to arrive. I ordered scrambled eggs and they came out more like fried eggs, very rubbery. My friends ordered the calamari salad and a chicken panini. The calamari salad was drowning in sauce, but other than that good. They brought out a salmon panini rather than a chicken panini. It took another half an hour to get the right panini. It was definitely not worth the wait. At no point were we asked how everything was going, the staff didn’t really seem to care much.Definitely will not be going back and would not recommend.
Service and food left a lot to be desired.My friends and I went there for lunch on sunday, got a table, and had our drink orders taken. The drinks, while delicious, took a long time to arrive. We had to get our own menus because no one gave us any.Eventually someone came to take our food order and I asked for a chicken panini with avocado on the side. 20 minutes passed and we were still waiting. Finally the food arrived and they had given me the salmon. I took it back and the kitchen staff started arguing with the waitress and manager over what I ordered vs what they gave me: very unprofessional. I was told 5 minutes.15 minutes later my friends had finished their food, other people received their panini orders and finally mine turns up. It was very underwhelming: 2 pieces of pineapple, a square of cheese, and some bland chicken. The only thing that was generous was the tomato.They forgot the avocado and tried to charge me for it.I will not be back.
Friendly service // food was alright // big portions // shaded with courtyard front After reading reviews, this place sounded pretty good. So I came here today with a friend for lunch. We were seated and given water and menus straight away and the waitress was very friendly, she was lovely. My friend ordered a pineapple juice and I ordered an iced chocolate. I was quite disappointed at my iced chocolate, I was expecting it to be blended but it was literally just chocolatey milk which tasted like sweetened milo and ice. Food-wise, I ordered the pollo pagianna and my friend ordered the Ragazzi burger. The food came out quickly, my dish was absolutely massive! The chicken was almost the size of the plate and a lot of chips scattered under the chicken. I thought it was quite average, the presentation could have been a lot better and I was expecting the food to be better as well. I think they would have gotten away with half the size of the chicken, ham rolled inside the chicken with cheesy sauce rather than melted cheese on top. Chips were very nice though!! The burger looked quite dry, and seemed like it needed some sort of sauce on the buns. Overall, I think this place has a lot of potential, the courtyard is really nice and homely feeling. The staff was friendly, although didn’t check on the food. And the quality of the food needs to improve.
We went here for Father’s Day and I didn’t expect this place to be good. I don’t know why I’ve never noticed this cafe before but my dad chose it. I’m glad he did because we had a great brunch. The service was pretty good considering it was Father’s Day and there was a race at Takapuna so the place was full. We all got coffees which were pretty good and arrived at a good time. It hard deciding what food to get but I opted for the panini toast. My mum got the same. My dad had the big breakfast and my sister got eggs benny. I really enjoyed my panini. I loved the bread. It was soft and tasty and it came with a salad on the side too. My dad enjoyed his big breakfast too and he said the bacon was great. What surprised us the most was the price of the food. It was so cheap compared to other cafes! Our panini was only $9 and dad’s big breakfast was only $15.50. I’m used to other cafes charging $20 or more for their big breakfast so this cafe is a winter in my books. The food was great, the price was even better and the service was up to par.Came here again today and I got the burger which was massive and such a great value for only $15! I also got a large coffee and they weren’t joking that it comes in a bowl. The prices here are so great compared to other cafes. astylecollector.com
This is a very nice restaurant to come to as the service is fast and friendly. The food is also nice and always made quickly. The location is nice as it is close to the beach and central takapuna
