I was very excited to come try this joint, because finally ramen lab in takapuna now has some proper competition. Personally when I try a new ramen place I always order tonkotsu ramen as a litmus test. In Sora their broth is a bit weak flavour wise. The noodles are my least favourite part. The char sui pork was its only saving grace. This bowl is priced at $15 which isnt expensive,…but if you go to other places such as tanpopo or takara, their base tonkotsu is $3-2 cheaper, and you get a better quality(imo) and a house made noodles as supposed to bought ones.I am still going to be returning here though cause its convenient and its not bad, just not the best.

Tried the spicy tan tan ramen and the beef udon. I personally found the spicy tan tan ramen too oily. Would be better with less oil and the portion was quite small for me (compared with other ramen places I’ve tried). Could also be better with more toppings/veges. The taste is very good though, not bad at all. The beef udon was very tasty and I really liked this one.Service and staff was great and friendly. The place was very clean.
Went in for a casual Saturday night Ramen, came away very impressed. My bowl of spicy pork ramen was excellent – one of the best I’ve had. The service was great, and the food came quickly. I will definitely be returning and can heartily recommend.
