The only thing I liked about this takeaway is their deep fried chocolate bar. So good tbh. Their chips are just as delicious and crispy, overall a good takeaway.
While the chips were great and were nice and crispy the fish was not up to much. I guess the warning was the fish shop down the road being queued out the door. This place was empty. Not sure how you can have crispy chips but soggy tasteless fish.
FINALLY DECENT FISH AND CHIPS IN WEST AUCKLAND!!!We moved to Auckland 5 years ago from the far north and we’ve been disgusted with the quality (or utter lack thereof) of fish and chips.Went to blue lagoon last night and thoroughly enjoyed them, FRESH snapper with crispy batter (no doughy crap) and cooked in FRESH oil.Will be my new local even though it’s 10 mins away.
I am a regular at this takeaway bar. They make the best chips in Te Atatu – cooked in vegetable oil and well drained. The owner knows me by name (which is nice to see that he makes an effort) as other cafes I regularly frequent do not. Recommend the vegetarian burger. Nice, friendly service.
