Friendly girl at the counter upon entry with genuine customer service. A decent range of food still available even at 3pm. They have coffee but they don’t do ice coffee, luckily have several fridges full of drink options if you’re looking for something cold. We ordered the steak & cheese pie, mince & cheese pies and a brownie. Pie pastry is super buttery and the top isn’t too flakey, although some people may feel the pastry is a bit greasy. The steak in the steak & cheese pie is well cooked & melts in the mouth. Unfortunately all the gravy sank to the bottom of the pie, so maybe eat it horizontally to even out the pastry, meat & gravy? Mince & cheese isn’t the best or the worst pie I’ve had, it’s filing & tastes pretty good. Would buy again if I’m in the area but not good enough to go out of your way to purchase one. Brownie is buzzy as, I’m not a fan of sweet food but my friend let me try it & although it looks dry when you first pick it up, it’s actually soft and isn’t overly sweet. nynb.blogspot.com
