Fast and reliable local takeaway in Mt Eden. Regular for us when weve had a hard day at work and are too tired to make dinner. Favourites are the cheeseburgers with a good amount of fresh salads (boyfriend says theyre mean as!) and hot dogs (on a stick). Not much chit chat from the owner but I think hes ok – focused on providing quick, efficient service … what youd expect from a local takeaway.
chan, a good man. gave us 6 potato fritters, fish, hotdog, chips and wontons for 9! thats pretty damn fine. we gotta come here all the time.
For a fish and chip shop there food is good! A few years ago i came here and there food tasted really good last night i ordered it was OK not great just ok had a few burnt chips but enjoyed the fish and potato fritters. Customer service- 2/5Food- 3/5
Mint as. Food is cheap, fast and tasty. I go there for dinner after a long day at work and it’s always good- can’t go wrong with their potato fritters and B&E burger! Highly recommend this place to all. I don’t understand these negative reviews. It’s a F&C shop, if you want exquisite customer service, you should go to a restaurant!
I walked in here on recommendation from old mate Caleb Walsh from work. Mr Chan greeted me with a courteous nod and waited patiently while I decided. Sometimes you don’t need outgoing chat, you just need efficient and effective service. That’s what I got and what I respected highly. Subsequently asked for 3 potato fritter and the cheeky sod gave me an extra one free! The bbq pork burger went down a treat for desert. Would go back for great pricing and decent quality. Keep it up good sir.
Delicious! For $4.50, I got a cheeseburger and 3 small potato fritters. The potato fritters were amazing, don’t leave them off your order. The cheeseburger had heaps of cheese (mozarella?) and salad (beetroot, carrot, onion, tomato and lettuce). The patty was thin but homemade and yum. Restored my faith in local fish and chip shops.
Miserable man. Been there a few times giving him the benefit of the doubt thinkin it was a bad week, nope, he is just straight up miserable. Greet him with a nice hello and order, he snatches the card then throws it on the counter along with throwing the order on the counter. Fish and chips are average at best.
