After visiting Kaitarakihi beach, we were after some dinner and Deco Cafs been on my list of places to try for a long time now. Dining in, the atmosphere and dcor was excellent. There was plenty of space and whether you were after a pub like experience or a sit down dinner, Deco is able to accommodate your mood.When we arrived, it was relatively quiet as it was a Tuesday evening, we got to sit right next to window overlooking Titirangi. I like how there are small touches of a middle eastern flavor and gave the place an authentic vibe. Fabulous service, with the service being particularly helpful with our meals and drink selection. Presentation was as expected top notch, heaps of color and assembly of your meal. Fried Calamari here was a favorite and our mains where tasty with great texture. In terms of new flavors that will blow your mind and make you question what you had put in your mouth, we didnt get that experience but this is a great place for dates and the overall experience is worth trying.Showstopper: Fantastic overall experience.Overall Grade: A-

Nothing out of the ordinary but done well.Fish of the Day 9/10So yum! You can taste the freshness in the fish! And it went down so well with the sauce. Sticky Pork Belly 7/10The fatty part was alright, but the lean side of the pork belly was a bit too dry… but the sauce was quite niceChicken Wings 5/10I honestly regret ordering the dish… The dish looked so good on the table next to ours so we wanted to give it a try, but the chicken wing was so dry its totally over cooked.The waitress was so lovely! We accidentally spilled the wine but she cleaned it up with no complaints. We couldnt finish our food so she asked if we wanted it to be taken away. We happily said yes and she even ran out to give us the takeaway box when we paid and forgot to bring it with us.
A pleasant surprise in our own backyard. The rating and reviews for this place is accurate. No complaints! We cane here at 4pm kitchen has finished serving lunch and dinner starts at 5 pm but plenty to choose from on the sharing small platter menu. Cakes and sweets also available. Highly recommended .
