Food ordered:Chicken RollSteak & Pepper PieBill: $7.40I usually go to Crown Food Bar (across the road), but I got curious about Bush Road Lunchbar (now The Sandwich Factory), so figured I’d give it a try. To be fair, the food wasn’t exactly awful and it was every-so-slightly cheaper than CFB (like 40c cheaper to be accurate), but the food simply wasn’t anywhere near as good as their competitors. The pie was mostly full of jelly and the crust was dry to the point where it was crumbling and cracking before I even bit into it. Perhaps the most disappointing part was the chicken roll though. With them renaming themselves The Sandwich Factory, I kinda had high expectations for their sandwiches and rolls. But sadly, the roll was incredibly plain. Chicken, lettuce, carrot, mayonnaise, a tiny bit of egg and a small slice of tomato. It had me missing the cheese and cranberry in the chicken rolls across the street. Certainly not the worst bakery, and the service was really friendly, but I’ll be sticking to my usual lunch bar.
