Best fish and chip shop in Auckland! I go once a week, both on quiet times and on busy Friday and Saturday nights when people call in and order in bulk. Every single order is perfect with the chips crispy and fluffy. The fried Moro bar tastes almost like a chocolate filled churro and the banana fritter tastes like one of the really nice caramelised bananas from the carts in Bali and Thailand. The curry rolls are filled with actual pieces of potato and little vegetables and is more dense and generously filled than flaky and oily which you usually expect from other shops. When I’m looking for a hearty meal I always go for the $8 special and get chips, fish, crab stick, potato fritter and a sausage. The portions are great and I’m always super full. I drive from central Auckland to get Tony’s which is 25 mins away but 100 percent worthwhile.
