Came here for Fathers Day and had a calamari salad and a cronut. Both were really good, as was the smoothie I had. Calamari were cooked well, crispy but not overcooked. Flavoured well. Cronut was delicious.Wish the seats/stools were a bit more comfortable as I like to have bit of back support.Everything looked clean and staff were friendly.
At 11.30am this morning arrived with sister, ordered at counter. I ordered a bacon & mushroom pide with a side of poached eggs, sis ordered a fish burger with fries, and we had a trim mocha each.1. No water for table, tables around us were given water immediately.2. My coffee arrived, waited for sis, and drank slowly. Her coffee arrived long after my coffee was finished,3. The coffees tasted burnt and watery.4. Pide arrived heated but no side of poached eggs. I tried to wait until the eggs arrived but pide started to get cold. Eggs arrived a while later after pide half eaten and cold.5. Bread plate pide arrived on was chipped in 2 edges – fingertip size chips on the dish.6. I finished my meal and her meal arrived about 10mins afterward.7. Fries came with no sauce or aioli. They were oily, we barely ate them.8. Fish burger: the bun was rock hard I tapped the table a few times with it and it clacked like a shoe. Sis tried to eat the centre. Then she abandoned all hope and left the buns.9. Fish was really overcooked. To the point of being yellow and stringy at the edges.10. People who arrived after us were served well before us and their meals arrived together to be enjoyed together.11. The bacon and mushroom pide tho was really lovely.I normally only review when a cafe to me deserves 5 stars and genuinely gave good food and service. I visit new cafes weekly, and this was a bad time for the first time in years where too much went wrong. I’ll try again soon and would love nothing better than to delete this and replace it with something more positive.

Nice cafe in Westgate, very warmly decorated, and friendly staff. Unfortunately, my mocha was one of the most bitter cups of coffee Ive ever had, and Ive been to many different cafes. The french toast was good, but it wasn’t anything special.
Cheese scone with butter, toasties and croissant with flat white was amazing choice late afternoon at Source cafe such a beautiful cafe and staff were friendly enjoyed our late afternoon treat
