  Terrible, such a shame used to love this place it was the most over booked restrant I have ever seen. I booked weeks and weeks ago however when we got there on time upstairs had been booked out and we were taken downstairs where it absolutely stunk damp and mouldy (not appropriate place for eating). Would have had a better time getting takeaways and sitting in our garage. It was understaffed and food was no where as good as had previously and took far far far too long to get, bread was horrible, and the rest was really nothing great at all. The owner needs to learn a few of people skills she needs to keep off the floor. I Understand its a busy day of the year but this was beyond ridiculous and the worst dining experience Ive ever had. Such a shame used to be great and loved going to something that was local. I also Felt sorry for waitresss to be honest. Made for an unenjoyable evening

  Loved it great food we had booked a reservation and unfortunately when we got there they haf over booked themselves so were taken down stairs but we preferred it down there anyway very romantic!!

  Booked 4 weeks in advance turned up on time and booked with note about wanting a view . Turned up got taken down to the basement where it was damp and smellt terrible . Complained got moved up stairs to an outside spot where we saw people that where behind us in line seated . Defiantly over booked themselves and way out of their depth food tasted like it was thrown together. Seems like quantity not quality is thea moto . Never going back

  The food was divine and the staff went out of there way to make us feel special on our anniversary. We had a great table with a view of a lovely sunset and away from other patrons. Thoroughly recommend the refreshment room.

  Ignoring the amazing photo of a child, the food here was good hence the score. All the meals Were salty and thats saying something for a woman that likes salt. Someone wasnt happy with the pasta because it was just too salty I enjoyed the special which was surf and turf others loved the pork but when asked about the kids meals they were advertising outside they denied serving it and recommended the meatballs which they knew was for a kid. It came 20 minutes before everything else so it was cold and extra salty for me let alone for a child. It was an ok experience service was a bit touchy and informal and thats saying something because Im a waitress would go back again for the view and amazing cider just to give them a second chance. Stay tuned for that one

  Dined here on the 16/3/19. Wonderful views and the meal was okay. Unfortunately I recognised the pasta I had as one from the supermarket so the meal wasnt completely made in-house. If the prices reflected that then that would be okay but $30 for a dish which was essentially assembled was a bit steep. $90ish all up for 2 mains, 1 side and 2 drinks is awfully steep for the quality of the food 🙁

  Happiness is when food satisfies your soul.. Me n my hubby had visited this resto on the way from Piha Beach , and as it was lunch time thought of having something filling… And I must say the food was not only delicious but satisfied our souls.. we enjoyed it to the core.. moreover it was all homemade ( yes!! That’s the speciality of this place) and worth every penny you spend.. Surely gonna revisit the place to try other delicacies which we missed this time.What we had *Marinated mince Beef Pattice wid garlic n mint yoghurt sauce and risotto ( must try) *Creamy pesto chicken n fettuccini pasta in parmesan
