Really nice restaurant, have visited once and planning to come back for their salmon seafood risotto. I really love their seafood risotto as it was very flavorful and delicious also very generous portion. I see that they have changed their menu, so not too sure if they still have this, I wish they would bring it back.
Nice food and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. Beautiful outdoor area water side to soak up some sun and very nice views Wynyard has to offer. The only let down is the wait time. Every time Ive visited this outlet there has been at least a 45min wait. I am conscious of the time of day i am visiting but still minimum of 45mins every time
Came in here with a friend for lunch and we both ordered the ceaser salads. They were pretty good nothing special. But once we came to pay it took forever for them to take a card payment and it was such an inconvenience as they were making it super difficult and had about 4 different people crammed in this little paying area. Overall not somewhere I would want to come back too but wasn’t horrible.
Dinner for two last night. Started with two platters, olives and breads with dips. Very tasty and plenty for two people, came in a timely manner. The restaursnt was busy, but not packed, so not too loud, background music was ok also, played my kind of stuff . Nice gap between starters and mains. I had sirloin steak and my wife had the salmon linguine. Good sized portions, I asked for medium rare , and was perfecrly cooked, came sitting on a bed of mash with two different types of carrot. My wife said her meal was good but not startling, plenty of salmon which was good, as sometimes these places are a bit tight with filling in pasta. Will definitely come back.
Service was below average, it was our first time here and when we walked in we passed many servers without any greeting or direction. We asked for a table for 2 and the cashier told us we could sit anywhere. We chose a spot inside and the tables were very sticky… 20 minutes later I was about to leave and go to a different place as we werent given a menu or anything. Luckily someone came and I decided to give this place a chance as I heard so good things from it. The wings were quite nice, linguini was bland and the scotch fillet was average. For the price I expected it to be better.
