  Very impressive, the ambience, staff, food, view…all in all I had a great time and would definitely recommended others as well. Pretty impressive keep up the good work guys

  Came into Marvel Grill for dinner with some family and friends and we all left pretty disappointed. Came here a lot as a kid and wanted to see what had changed. My friend and I both ordered the ceaser salads, we were very disappointed with the lack of care put into the meal, the croutons were exceptionally dry and the lettuce also tasted pretty dry as if it had been sitting out for days, the main fault for me was the chicken which was bland and dry. The whole salad just had no flavour too it and was very disappointing as I had loved coming here as a kid. My friend was pretty hungry afterwards so she had to order a plate of the citrus cured salmon which didn’t do much as the portion was also very small. Our parents all ordered different types of meat and they all said that for the amount of money they paid it was not worth it as their meals were all very small and flavourless. Did not bother taking a photo either as the presentation was careless. Overall not somewhere I would recommend going too.

  Ordered oysters and drinks to start, then mains.Oysters came out with no side plates. Small oysters, the ones we had at the Alice a few hours earlier were better.Mains came out before the drinks. WTF?!I ordered the sirloin steak with blue cheese sauce ($34) medium rear. Good news, it came medium rare. Unfortunately, the steak wasnt well rested and it was as tough and chewy.Smashed coriander potatoes were ok.Highlight was the old fashion drink. Go figure…My better half had the slow n low beef cheek. That was delish!I want to give them a two, but the old fashion was delish…….

  Had a late lunch & drinks here yesterday – this pl is nice, in a fantastic location and is popular along Wynyard quarter. Food prices are similar to other places along the same strip. Had 1/4 jerk chicken – it was a bit dry but full of flavour, didnt like the beans it came with, the slaw was average & needed more potatoes ( this dish was shared between 2 adults) – the beef burger was nice but no show stopper. Will def be back to try some other dishes tho because 2 out of the many on offer isnt enough to really review on. The customer service was nice.

  TRASH Food and Service !I wish I could give this place a negative -1Star. First off we waited so long to be served. I orders the pulled pork and it was cold and bitter. I asked the manager if I could change it to another meat dish but he said,Its already been cooked we cant change it I was like Pulled Pork? It says its been cooked for 12hours. I was told I need to pay for another serving. I then tried my wifes fried chicken burger and it was extremely sour and bitter. Considering the prices you pay I would expect a refund or at least the manager change the order. We left shortly after, we couldnt even finish half of the food. Definitely not going back!

  We walked past Marvel many times, admired the smoker in the back and the vibe near the walkway of the viaduct. Finally decided to try it and unfortunately we were very disappointed. We ordered the beef cheek burger and half portion of ribs. It all tasted the same, no flavour to anything. Switching from beef to pork it had no difference in flavour. Everything was bland and I put copious amounts of salt onto my food hoping it would help. Unfortunately this will be the first and last time we visit Marvel.
