Always loved spanish tapas. Good loaction, good atmosphere, friendly staff, and the food was not bad either~My favourite was the pork belly, because it’s not too fat like some of the other places, and the beetrot chutney was a lovey match~
I had lunch at Pescado with a colleague just before heading out to the airport. The tapas menu looked really interesting. We ordered a mixed plate, scallops on mash, patatas bravas and grilled chicken skewers. The food was excellent excepting the scallops which were ok but not great.What an enjoyable meal though! Couple the food with friendly service and you have a winner of a restaurant.
These are from 2 different visits, I keep forgetting to post this!The food here is really good but it’s a bit pricey since it’s in Wynyard quarter. Portions look small , but are surprisingly filling! Pictured is the Spanish breakfast and the corn fritters. I love love loved the corn fritters! I’ll probably only come back for that! The Spanish breakfast was okay, standard breakfast fare with bread, eggs and hash browns . The little pot of chorizo and beans was tasty and the amount of meat and beans in there was a generous amount.Service is okay.
3 of us went for dinner last Saturday night. Started with drinks, then moved onto their Tapas, we had 6 dishes in all, and they came out very efficiently and were delicious. Wait staff were also very friendly, and helpful, especially when it came time for the ladies to choose their wine, small tastings were offered to help them choose, a nice option. Will definitely go back
