I’ve eaten here twice when visiting Rotorua. Both times I had the bento boxes. The bento boxes have generous portions of food, although I only realized it halfway through the meal when I was struggling to finish the box!The last time I went there, I had the eel bento box. Every component of the eel bento box was delicious. The eel was so tender it almost melted in my mouth. The crumbed, deep fried fish and prawn were the same – crunchy on the outside, very tender on the inside. The only downside of the restaurant is the takeaway bar atmosphere. The food was great!
Katsubi has the best takeaway sushi in Rotorua. It’s fresh, delicious and cheap. Their dine in meals at night are also definitely worth trying with big portion sizes and a good variety of dishes offered. Only negative? That the ‘all you can eat’ option is gone (o;
