Great fish and chips, fish is fresh perfectly cooked crispy batter and the chips have that nice fluffy inside with the crispy/crunchy outside, the price is a little more than some of the fish’n’chip shops in town but well worth the drive and extra money.

Each time the service has been friendly, the food has been prepared and ready in a short space of time, and the quality has been excellent.I went here a year or so ago under the old ownership and never went back, but decided to give it a punt under the new owners once the new signage went up, and am glad I did. The prices are lower and the quality is MILES better.Tip : The snapper is excellent, try it!
We had chips from the new owners of Whakamarama Fish and Chips on the 5th of September and it was yummo! And, you were saying how you have limited gluten free options as well – with the aim of extending that range. We can’t wait to come and have takeaways from you guys again and try out the gluten free goodies! Good to see the place open again with such lovely owners 🙂
I had F & C (2 fish & chips) to take away at 7.35pm last night (Fri 20th Jan 2012), and it was the worst F & C I have had for many years. I am writing this review at 1pm on Sat 21st Jan, and still have really bad indigestion from the food. Dry flavourless fatty chips and overcooked tasteless fish.
