went in for the all you can eat rib night, excellent ribs, lots of meat and they had a beautiful stucky bourbon sauce on them too! my wife had the mellick burger for $24 and it looked awesome was a big burger with fresh ingredients and she couldnt finish it. both came with a side of chips. pretty cheap for a fulling meal for both of us just over $50 with drinks. hard to find a place like this in tauranga (where a good sized meal isnt $30+ pp) so we will definitely be back.

This one I have to admit was my own fault- really, what fool expects to get an edible steak for $10?? Apparently me. I have to give them their due though- my steak was cooked to medium-rare as I asked for it. But it was obviously very poor quality meat as I couldnt actually eat much of it- it was more chew and discard. Not too bad in its own way- as I got some nutrients from the food without getting too many calories 🙂 Anyways, lesson learnt.
All new menu, complete facelift, great new chefs with Melbourne & London exp, huge menu and best value at the Mount!Kids menu, platters, burgers, steaks, salads, gf options all fresh food sourced locally 🙂
Overall good pub grub. Good value for money. I had the steak sandwich and it was huge, my friend had the chicken sandwich, which was nice but would have been better if it was served as a hot option. The barman was friendly and although the décor is a bit dark and dingy not a bad experience.
We have had good and bad meals here. Roasts are great, but last year had pan fried fish that wasn’t so good. Good prices and friendly staff.
